As You Wish: Painting Pottery and Reconnecting

Ever since moving back to Arizona I’ve been slowly reconnecting with old friends.  It’s generally a very satisfying and comforting experience chatting with someone you once spent a lot of time with.  I love these meetings and though I’m not the most social gal in the world, they truly do brighten my days.

Over the weekend I met up with two old friends to paint some pottery at As You Wish.  I love spending time with people doing things that are somewhat out of the ordinary and this totally filled that need.  Three old friends painting, chatting, laughing, and reminiscing.  It was so wonderful and I walked away with a pretty rockin’ cappuccino mug (that I forgot to take a final picture of).

Something I learned about myself is that whenever I paint pottery I get frustrated and tired halfway through and just phone in the rest.  I suppose patience is something I really need to work on in the future.  I always forget how much I love painting though and I think it’s safe to say I’ve been bit by the painting bug.  I really need to get back into it.
